Phil Parrish grew up in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. At the young age of seven Phil was introduced to singing when a Sunday school teacher unknowingly placed a microphone in his hand for a Sunday school review. It was at that pivotal moment when Phil was validated in the fact that he did have something to say; he was encouraged that one day his voice would be heard among many.
However he was deterred temporarily when life’s circumstances forced him to grow up on his own by the age of 10 and care for his younger siblings. Phil Parrish sought refuge in the local church. Feeling deserted, rejected, and forsaken Phil’s dream of success was nothing more than a distant memory and a fading hope.
Throughout the course of his existence, God has strategically placed individuals in Phil’s life to provide confirmation of his significance, and the responsibility he had to respond to the call of God on his life. At the age of 19, Phil embarked upon a new journey being known to most as an anointed praise and worship leader. With 12 years of experience in ministry and music development, he continues to seek growth in the dynamics of what it takes to become a succesful recording artist.
Knowing that God was calling him to more, today he answers that call by providing a unique sound mixing contemporary gospel and the urban beats of neo soul. He is a psalmist whose hearts’ desire is to give life and awaken faith in those who are struggling with their own worth. The ministry of Phil Parrish is to bring restoration to the broken, the lost, and the forsaken. More than being coined “life music” there is a perpetual message that fuses the listener and God.
